Refund Policy
A Legal Disclaimer
By registering for or participating in any class, workshop, event, or open studio session at Canalside Jewelry & Art Studio, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Assumption of Risk
Many of our classes involve the use of hand tools, sharp instruments, rotary equipment, heat, torches, hammers, chemicals, adhesives, paints, dyes, and other materials that carry inherent risks. By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities.
Safety
Participants agree to follow all verbal and written safety instructions provided by Canalside Jewelry & Art Studio staff and instructors. Failure to follow safety guidelines may result in removal from the class without refund if continued participation poses a risk to yourself or others.
Medical Conditions
Participants are responsible for informing instructors of any medical conditions, allergies, physical limitations, or other concerns that may affect their ability to safely participate.
Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for using all equipment and materials in a safe and responsible manner. Any intentional damage to studio property or equipment may result in financial responsibility for repair or replacement.
Minors
Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete all required registration forms and liability waivers. Certain classes may require a parent or guardian to remain on-site for the duration of the class.
Photography & Marketing
Canalside Jewelry & Art Studio may photograph or record classes and events for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes. By participating, you grant permission for your likeness to be used unless you notify us in writing before the event. We are happy to honor requests not to appear in photographs whenever reasonably possible.
Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. Canalside Jewelry & Art Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Finished Projects
While our instructors will provide guidance throughout each class, every handmade project is unique. Because craftsmanship varies from person to person, we cannot guarantee specific artistic or functional results.
Right to Refuse Service
Canalside Jewelry & Art Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation for anyone whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, abusive, intoxicated, or otherwise interferes with the safety and enjoyment of other guests.
Policy Changes
Canalside Jewelry & Art Studio reserves the right to update or modify studio policies, pricing, schedules, and class offerings at any time without prior notice.
Participation in any class, workshop, or event constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these policies.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
At Canalside Jewelry & Art Studio, many of our classes require us to purchase materials and prepare workstations specifically for each participant. Because of this, we ask that you review our cancellation policy before registering.
Cancellations by Participants
-
7 or more days before class: Receive a full refund or, if you prefer, transfer your registration to another class.
-
48 hours to 7 days before class: Your registration may be transferred to another class or converted into studio credit to be used within one year.
-
Less than 48 hours before class: Refunds and class credits are generally not available, as materials have already been purchased and your seat has been reserved.
No-Shows
Participants who do not attend their scheduled class without prior notice are not eligible for a refund or class credit.
If Canalside Needs to Cancel
If we need to cancel a class due to weather, instructor illness, or low enrollment, you may choose one of the following:
-
A full refund
-
Transfer to another class
-
Studio credit for a future class
Minimum Enrollment
Some classes require a minimum number of participants. If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment, we may reschedule or cancel the class. If this happens, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered the options listed above.
Late Arrivals
To ensure everyone has the best experience possible, classes begin promptly at the scheduled start time. If you arrive late, we'll do our best to help you catch up, but instruction will continue as scheduled. Depending on the class, arriving more than 30 minutes late may prevent you from safely completing the project.
Questions?
If you have an emergency or need to discuss your registration, please contact us as soon as possible. While this policy helps us operate fairly for everyone, we understand that unexpected situations happen and will do our best to accommodate them whenever possible.
Thank you for supporting a local small business. We can't wait to create with you!
