Canalside Jewelry and Art Studio LLC Last updated: 7/6/26

Welcome to Canalside Jewelry and Art Studio. These terms cover the use of our website and the booking of our classes, workshops, and gift cards. By using this site or registering for a class, you agree to the terms below. We've kept the legal language as plain as possible, because that's how we do everything here.
About Us
Canalside Jewelry and Art Studio LLC is a hands-on art and jewelry studio located at 1000 Turk Hill Rd, Suite S, Fairport, NY. We offer beginner friendly classes in jewelry making, silversmithing, kids art, tie dye, terrariums, and other creative workshops.
Class Registration and Payment
All class registrations are made through our website and are confirmed once payment is received. Prices, dates, times, and class capacity are listed on each class page. Payment is processed securely through the Wix platform and its payment providers.
Seats are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Your seat is not reserved until checkout is complete.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before class receive a full refund or a credit toward a future class, your choice. Cancellations inside that window are eligible for studio credit but not a refund, since materials and seats are prepared in advance for each registered student.
If we need to cancel: If a class is canceled by the studio due to low enrollment, weather, or instructor illness, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.
No-shows: Missed classes without notice are not eligible for refunds or credit.
Age Requirements
Each class lists a suggested age range. Most jewelry and silversmithing classes are for ages 16 and up because they involve torches, sharp tools, and hot metal. Kids classes list their own age ranges, and some require a parent or guardian present. Registrations for anyone under 18 must be completed by a parent or guardian.
Studio Safety
Our classes involve real tools, including saws, hammers, torches, and chemicals used in jewelry making. By registering, you agree to follow all instructor safety guidance during class. Closed toe shoes are recommended for jewelry and silversmithing classes, and long hair should be tied back. The studio reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior creates a safety risk, without refund.
Assumption of Risk
Hands-on creative work carries some inherent risk, including minor burns, cuts, or scrapes. By participating in a class, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Canalside Jewelry and Art Studio LLC, its owner, and its instructors are not liable for injuries resulting from failure to follow safety instructions. Participants may be asked to sign a liability waiver before certain classes.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are delivered by email and can be applied to any class or workshop on our schedule. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. Lost or stolen gift card codes should be reported to us as soon as possible.
Class Content and Results
Every handmade piece is unique, and that's the point. We can't guarantee that your finished ring, pendant, journal, or terrarium will look exactly like the class photos, because it will look like yours. Finished project photos on our website represent typical class results, not a promised outcome.
Photography
We occasionally take photos during classes for our website and social media. If you'd prefer not to appear in photos, just let your instructor know at the start of class. Photos of minors are never posted without parent or guardian permission.
Website Use
The content on this website, including class descriptions, photography, and written copy, belongs to Canalside Jewelry and Art Studio LLC and may not be copied or reused without permission. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Privacy
Our collection and use of your information is covered in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canalside Jewelry and Art Studio LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or participation in our classes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the class or product in question.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Monroe County, New York.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
